A touching true story set toward the end of the Korean War and detailing the efforts of the crew of the USS Point Cruz to save a Korean-American baby, nurse him back to health and find him a home. Leading the ship and its crew's efforts are Captain John "Chick" Hayward (Gerald McRaney), Dr. Hugh "Bud" Keenan (Richard Thomas) and Father O'Riley (Jonathan Banks), a priest.
