GDM Music releases on CD the OST composed by Stelvio Cipriani for the movie “I figli di Zanna bianca” (aka ”The Sons of White Fang” – “Zwei Babysitter auf acht Pfoten”) directed in 1974 by Maurizio Pradeaux and starring Sal Borgese, Ileana Rigano, Peter Fabian, Carla Mancini, Antonio Maimone, Claudio Giorgi, Claudia Bianchi, Luciano Rossi. A little girl, granddaughter of a wealthy industrialist, was kidnapped in Sardinia just when her parents decided to separate. The police gropes in the dark and the intervention of an aspiring journalist is decisive, aided by dogs Dik and Buk, very affectionate to the baby girl. The unusual pair succeeds where the police has failed, the kidnappers are captured and parents reconcile. This film, although with a modern setting, is a kind of sequel to the films inspired from the Jack London’s novels whose previous motion pictures were scored by prestige music names of Carlo Rustichelli and Bruno Nicolai. Stelvio Cipriani has composed a romantic theme for the two protagonist dogs with modern arrangement of beat flavor. This motif is reprised with different versions and alternated to a funny theme as background for the scene of the kidnapping done by clumsy criminals. For realizing this special edition CD the stereo master tapes of the original session have been used that allowed to release every recorded note at the time, including the two tracks of the original single CAM (AMP 137) out on the market in 1974 and everything has been digitally restored and mastered.
