For the very first time on CD the electronic OST by Franco Micalizzi. Two horror films made in the late eighties and early nineties: THE CURSE (aka The Farm, in Italy The Curse - La Maledizione) and BLACK DEMONS (aka Demons 3). THE CURSE distributed by MGM, was directed in 1987 by Keith David (co-star in An Officer and A Gentleman) and starring Wil Wheaton (the young Wesley Crusher in Star Trek: The Next Generation), Claude Akins (American character actor known for movies and TV), Malcolm Danare, Cooper Huckabee, John Schneider, Amy Wheaton, Steve Carlisle, Kathleen Jordon Gregory. Nathan Hayes is a home and the church American superintendent, seeking to tightly control his family in full compliance with the good rules of religious life. A real estate agent is trying to buy most of the farms in the rural area of Tennessee. During a terrible storm at night, a huge glowing object falls near the Hayes estate and his family will face a terrible curse originated from that mysterious thing fallen on the ground. The young Zack (Wheaton) will have to fight the frightening events that gradually grow around him in a carousel of pure terror: horrible mutations in animals and humans, a woman transformed into a bloodthirsty demon, all under the control a mysterious glowing blob coming from that kind of asteroid. Black Demons was directed in 1991 by one of the Masters of the movie genre Umberto Lenzi and starring Keith Van Hoven, Sonia Curtis, Joe Balogh. Brazil. Jessica, Kevin and Dick stop in a ranch. One of them at a pagan ritual records the audio on tape and he received a snake symbol necklace from a blind shaman. One night, down in the basement of the ranch, the boy discovers an old cemetery of slaves. They come back to life as blood-thirsty zombies after the boy turns the recorder on and the magic formulas are spelled out. The living dead massacre the ranch owners and his family. Scenes are really horrible, like the one where an eye is gouged out of orbit with a hook. In the end only a young couple will be saved from those monstrous creatures. The film was titled DEMONS 3 following the huge success of DEMONS and DEMONS 2 by Lamberto Bava, also director of THE OGRE - DEMONS 3. Franco Micalizzi, a versatile and prolific composer of soundtracks for movies like the classic TRINITY, wrote the comments of both electronic films where an atmosphere of terror and suspense alternate with rare moments of calm. This CD was made possible thanks to the original stereo master tapes stored in the archives of Universal, assembled under the supervision of the composer.
