The last twelve months of life and investigations of real life judge Giovanni Falcone (Michele Placido) killed by Mafia in the slaughter of Capaci, near Palermo, where his car was blown up by dynamite. This recent and successful Italian attempt to realize a serious contemporary docudrama is strongly helped by the dry, harsh score by Pino Donaggio, whose mood and quality is somehow reminiscent of his previous acclaimed works for De Palma's cinema.
