Il Camorrista

The directorial debut of Giuseppe Tornatore who got acclaimed all over the world two years later after winning an Oscar for "Nuovo Cinema Paradiso". The film is about a Ca-morra boss (Ben Gazzara) nicknamed ""the Professor"", who creates and leads a powerful and fierce criminal organization, and is able, though an imprisoned convict, to have dealings with secret services, american Mafia bosses and terrorists. The score is by Nicola Piovani, the composer chosen by the late Fellini, Monicelli, brothers Taviani, Bigas Luna, Nanni Moretti and many other first rate directors. A real musical gem for all those who love melodic style.
