The Quadrifolio ensamble, founded in 1986, is one of the few existing orchestras in Italy which specializes in music written for flute and strings. Its repertoire extends from the classical composers who wrote for these instruments (such as Mozart, Haydn, Rossini, Mercadante, and Paisiello) up to and including the works of modern, contemporary music. The four members of the orchestra studied in Italy and abroad at various schools including the Royal Conservatory in The Hague (Holland), the Schola Cantorum of Basel (Switzerland), the Conservatory of Santa Cecilia in Rome, the Fiesole School of Music and the L. Perosi International Academy of Bielle. Among their teachers where P.L. Graf, F. Vester, C. Romano, G. Cappone, C. Coin, and J. Schultis. They all teach as well as performing with various orchestras. In 1990, the Quadrifolio won the third prize at the Capri Music Competition and was invited to tour the United States, with concerts in New York, Pittsburgh, and Chicago, The ensamble plays extensively throughout Italy and has Music Festival in Urbino, during the concert season of the Associazione Musicale Romana in 1989, 1991, and 1993, and during the concert season of the "Amici della Musica" in Campobasso in 1991.<br>
